What is MCLE?

MCLE (Mandatory Continuing Legal Education) is a continuing education requirement for members of the Philippine Bar to ensure they maintain professional competence and stay updated with legal developments.

How many MCLE credit units are required?

Lawyers are required to complete 36 credit units of MCLE every compliance period (3 years). This includes prescribed hours for core and elective subjects.

What subjects are covered in MCLE?

MCLE covers legal ethics, trial and pretrial skills, alternative dispute resolution, updates on substantive and procedural laws, jurisprudence, legal writing and oral advocacy, and international law and international conventions.
